Testing Principle
Specimens receive impacts delivered by a falling striker with defined mass and geometry, which is released from a predefined height onto designated positions across the test sample.
Test severity may be modulated by adjusting either the striker mass, the drop height, or both. Modifying TIR values outside the stipulated specifications shall not be adopted as a valid technical means to alter test severity.
The maximum permissible TIR threshold is set at 10%.
