Plastic HDT Thermal Deformation Vica Softening point Digital tester ISO 2507 ISO 75 ISO 306 ASTM D1525648 is used to determine the thermal deformation temperature or VICa softening point.
All specimens were held at a constant load and immersed in a bathtub, where the temperature increased at a standard rate. The heat resistance of plastic materials is a widely needed parameter for product characterization, quality control, and applications that evaluate their compliance with previews.
"Thermal deformation test" means:
According to international standards, when a standard test sample is subjected to bending stress, this test determines the temperature at which a specified deflection occurs to produce one of the nominal surface stresses. This test is important for both quality control and research on plastics.
A "VICAT" test means:
The test determines the temperature of the standard indenter when it is inserted 1mm into the specimen surface under load. It is used to establish softening properties between different types of thermoplastic materials.
